Perpetual design

A piece that can be re-covered beats a piece that can be recycled.

Covers zip off, cushions are interchangeable, bolts replace glue. Repairing a sofa uses a fraction of the energy of making a new one, so repairability is the whole strategy.

Climate impact report

2025, in three lines.

Timber: FSC chain-of-custody number printed on every frame label; 96% of volume from certified forests.
Repair: Spare parts stocked a minimum of ten years after a piece is discontinued.
Take-back: We collect any piece we made, at cost, and re-cover it or break it down.
Not done yet: Foam is still virgin-polymer based, and long-haul delivery is not offset. We would rather say so than round it off.

Our furniture

Oak

European, FSC, air-dried then kilned to 8%. Brushed and oiled, never lacquered, so it can be sanded back and re-oiled rather than replaced.

Steel

Recycled content, powder-coated. Touch-up paint is free on request because a scratch should not cost a frame.

Wool

Recycled blend, zip-off covers, machine washable. Sourced from two mills we have used since 2019.
