Keeping it for fifteen years.

Three rules cover most of it: do not soak it, do not drag it, rotate what can be rotated.

Solid oak

Damp cloth, then dry. Never a soaking rag. Re-oil once a year with the sachet in the box; sand at 240 grit first if it has gone grey.

Wool textile

Vacuum weekly on low with the brush off. Blot spills, never rub. Rotate and swap cushions monthly, sun-free drying only.

Powder-coated steel

Mild soap and water. Touch-up paint free on request — a scratch should not cost a frame.

Felt pads

On every leg, on every floor. Replacements are free; dragging is what kills joints.

Bolts, legs, feet, covers, cushion cores and slats — 2,400 in stock, shipped flat.

How to measure

Measure the narrowest clear opening, not the door. Take off 4 cm for hands and hinges.
