Home / About
We started in 2016 because a decent sofa cost four months of rent and a bad one cost a year of regret. There had to be a third option: fewer shapes, better timber, no shop.
Rethinking the business
Our approach
Unchanged since 2018. That is why a part ordered in 2034 fits a frame made in 2026.
Two in Lithuania, one in Portugal. We visit twice a year and publish what we find.
Solid timber, recycled steel, wool. No veneer pretending to be oak.
Slow craft, modern tech
Every model starts as a 3D file and ends as a prototype somebody sits on for a week. The file lets us publish exact dimensions; the week is what decides whether it goes into production.
We print jigs on a desktop machine and cut timber on a machine older than the company.
“We do not design for a photograph. We design for the fourth year, when the novelty is gone and the thing still has to work.”Design note, 2026
